An American soldier lies and waits in a freshly made bomb crater, waiting for the enemy to make the first advance forwards. He begins to shiver due to the heavy rain, and then he suddenly sees movement in another crater lying just 100 feet away from his crater. Heart pounding, he slowly and carefully raises the rifle that has protected him for 3 long years.
