An All-Encompassing Environment

Men and women of all races, regardless of their sexuality, regardless of their political alignments, regardless of if they are disabled or able-bodied, actively discussing and debating their ideologies and their lives free of judgement from the rest of the group. That is an inclusive environment. No one is left out because they do not fit the description of the community. There is no description, there is no pattern to who these people are, and there are no borders as to who is welcome. Everyone has something unique to share: a belief, a story, a talent; if someone is turned away, their singular perspective will be lost to the group as a whole and the contribution that might have changed the way you look at the world, will never be told. People are people no matter where they were born or what they believe in. We do not have the right to turn our backs on those who may seem foreign to us simply because we do not understand their customs. Being open-minded to healthy conversations about contrasting views will lead to minority groups, who may have felt secluded and criticized, being welcomed with open arms into a community with no borders or labels. With diversity and acceptance, you need one in order to have the other. Once people learn to accept those unknown to them for who they are instead of trying to change their fundamental beliefs, there will be acceptance. Once the world sees that they will not be condemned or categorized based on their practices, values, and identity, there will be diversity.
