“I only go out at night.” A rule that Amy used to help her survive “In the after.” Amy has dealt with conflicts that have changed her life in a tremendous way. Amy had countless internal conflicts that changed her outlook of the after. It is easy to understand why Amy was so mortified considering the conflicts she has gone through. “In the after,” the world was just attacked by “them.” Amy is trying to figure out how she is going to survive alone, and she is recovering from figuring out her mother and father are dead. Amy goes to the supermarket to scavenge more food, and while she is there Amy finds a toddler. Amy has to decide whether she should take the toddler.
