What is ambition? Ambition is a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work. Ambition can make someone very successful or a make someone lose it all. Ambition will make or break a person. Amy Winehouse was full of ambition. It was her ambition that made her famously known for her music. Unfortunately Amy let ambition get the best of her and overpower her life. It was her misuse of ambition that led to her death.

She was performing shows drunk more frequently as well. By September 2006, she was reported to have dropped three dress size. Winehouse admitted in several interviews around the time of the album's release that she suffered from manic depression. "I'm manic depressive, I'm not an alcoholic, which sounds like an alcoholic in denial." (Said in interview) In June 2011 Amy was so drunk during a performance in Belgrade, Serbia, she got booed off stage by fans. Amy’s also been “seen with a crack pipe in hand”, track marks on her arms and snorting cocaine on stage. (Netwig 1). She had many drug addictions. On top of all of that Amy was also a victim of Bulimia.

On July 23, 2011 Amy winehouse was pronounced dead in the London Borough of Camden, United Kingdom. The cause of her death was alcohol poisoning. The report released on 26 October 2011 explained that Winehouse's blood alcohol content was 416 mg per 100 ml (0.416%) at the time of her death, more than five times the legal drink-drive limit. Amy Winehouse spent her final hours “drinking vodka alone in her bedroom and watching YouTube videos of herself. She was found dead on her bed 12 hours later, with the laptop beside her and two empty vodka bottles on the floor”. (SOUNES
