Decent Essays
Because college is so challenging, I will use advice from several experts on learning. One expert is Stephen Covey the famous author of the book, The lesson of the Bamboo plant, who recommends that students give themselves time to grow and never give up even if they don’t see no progress. (“ this is a Win-Win situation”) as Stephen Covey would say. Amy Cuddy is another expert who I love so much. Amy Cuddy is a social psychologist who speck on your body language shape who you are.

However, the best advice comes from Amy Cuddy who suggests that our mind changes our behavior and our behavior changes our outcomes.

Using the information from all of these experts can help you be succeful in college.

Now that I have some good advice, I will develop effective strategy to help me to be a successful student. Creating study cards is one good strategy to help me improve my vocabulary skills. Another way to help me be successful is to look up words in the dictionary that I don’t know and study them. I can also go online to sites like quizlet to help me study. Therefore these are some strategy to help me become a successful student.

Me being a college student for already two years I already figured out the ropes on how to educate myself and be successful in college. First I got to make sure professors know how to definitely keep their students engage in the classroom and definitely know how to teach their material very well. The second one is that I make sure that I don’t get a push over professor who is in it just for the money and not care if their students learn anything within their class. If students follow these steps, also make no excuses in attending college/classes, and the key component is staying on top of your studies and applying yourself one hundred percent in your studies. Of course the “A’s” percentage is going to increase and students in college are finally figuring out how to survive college.…

It would help to have a current college student explain to them how classes work here and how treating college like high school won’t succeed. If they are struggling to manage their time, I could teach them how to set up a schedule and organize their week or month.
