amorphous feeling that lies deep inside one’s soul. It lies in its slumber, waiting in the unheard for the flicker of piano keys, or the words of loved ones. Inspiration intently waits for a moment, a moment where everything seems to make sense, a moment where all unknowns can be connected at the precipice of knowledge. Inspiration can occur in anyone at any particular time and for me, it happened when I went to a nursing home for the first time and experienced the moment that made me want to help servicemen. When I first joined National Honor Society, the very first event I volunteered for was a visit to a local nursing home. When I arrived I met an extraordinary man. He was an elderly man confined to a bed who had once been a Navy Seal in
