She liked a lot to dance and to jump on her bed. She was pretty immature to be a queen. I would have not idea of what to do or how many power I would have being the king of Spain at that age. She was burn in Madrid on 1830.

Martin Van Buren was the president of the United States. He was the president at the time that the United States was suffering a very bad economy and when the Africans arrived to the U.S. Slavery was illegal at that time in the South of the United States but slaves were legal on the north. Martin Van Buren didn't really cared about slavery. He wasn't in favor neither against it.

Roger Baldwin was a lawyer helping the African Slaves. He wanted the slaves to be free and did great help to achieve this. Roger Baldwin argues that the African slaves were sold to America illegally. With a hidden paper on the amistad ship, he proves that the slaves were initially cargo from a Portuguese ship named Tecora. That means that the Africans were not slaves at all.

Marcus Rediker in The Amistad Rebellion describes the Amistad Africans from when they were kidnapped and placed in the Atlantic Slave Trade to when they obtained their freedom and returned home. The Amistad case occurred during the middle of the Antebellum period when the Atlantic Slave Trade was abolished in several countries, including in America, and several reform and abolition movements, inspired by the Second Great Awakening, were calling for the end of slavery. It was also in the middle of the Market Revolution and the South needed more slaves to expand its agricultural production, so half the nation was against the Amistad Africans. Rediker has both a M.A. and a Ph.D. in history and has won many prizes for his works on eighteenth-century…

America was a young and newly formed nation in the 1800s, and while the previously independent states were finally united under one constitution, there were still many disagreements among them. Slavery was one issue of many, which greatly separated the north and south halves of the country, and was the source of a great amount of conflict and tension between the two sides. Virginia, being a southern state, was also one of the primary slave states, as its economy essentially depended on slavery. The year of 1831 and surrounding years were very important for the state of Virginia as certain events such as Nat Turner’s slave rebellion and the Great Slave Debate took place during this time period. Although there were many dramatic problems and changes that occurred at this time, the core of the developments was the decision whether the United States should continue to grow the system of slavery or not. Abraham Lincoln's views on slavery were shaped by the times and places in which he was raised and during which he served his country. Lincoln’s stance on slavery was easily pliable as time passed on in the Civil War. Halfway into his term of presidency his stance consisted of trying to preserve the Union without freeing the slaves, however at the same time he was ready to emancipate the slaves with the Emancipation Proclamation.…

I am betting it was one of the first two, and doubt it was a look of total confusion because of the popularity of the movie ever since its release in 1943. Many people who were a part of its production believed it would be a flop; however, they couldn’t have been more wrong. Both the movie and the actors involved won a variety of awards including Best Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture and has continued to be re-released and aired on television.…

Selma, a film directed by Ava DuVernay shows us Dr. Martin Luther King’s success in fighting all who challenged him in order to give the African American people the right to vote. This film outlines the harsh three-month period of King’s (with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference’s help) struggle in an attempt to secure what he believes is a basic American right, the right to vote, against extremely violent white supremacist. This was all made much more difficult due to the fact that he demanded his protests be non-violent. Towards the end of the film, more Caucasian people that believed in his cause also joined the protests, the most notable one being the march from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery. The water war was about how companies from overseas were controlling the wells in Bolivia and were denying access to the public, they even restricted the people from collecting rain. There are some complications in the movie because since Daniel led the resistance and is apart of the movie, both Costa and Sebastian run through troubles of getting Daniel to be quiet until the filming of the movie was over. Director Steven Spielberg failed to mention the actions of the supreme court justices that were portrayed in the movie as good guys after the actions of the movie. For example Federal Judge Andrew Judson who declares the captives were actually free men and not Cuban slaves. But Spielberg failed to have the addition of Andrew Judsons darker side where later Judson ruling will put a damper on attempts to educate black children in Connecticut for years.…
