Shunning happens when an Amish breaks the rules. The person who breaks the rules will be avoided for a long time for example the person can’t eat at the same table.
The Amish get a lot of attention from non-Amish people. The tourists bring clogged roads and often unwanted attention which can be annoying for some Amish. Some Amish areas with estimates of around eight million visitors per year, generating more than 2 billion dollars of economic activity like the Lancaster County, which is one of the biggest areas for the Amish. The only question is: Do the Amish like the tourists? It depends on who you ask, but some Amish people make a living from tourism and some Amish enjoy meeting visitors from different a place. Others dislike the traffic and unwanted attention.
I would actually like to live like the Amish because I like the connection the Amish have without any form of electricity and I also like that the Amish have a really great community. I especially like some the many rules the Amish have. I don’t know if I could live without electricity, but I also love the life without it because you see a lot of nature and learn how to survive. The Amish people are really smart not just because they can speak more than a language, but because they learn how to catch animals, work hard and also to take care. I also think the life of an Amish can be rough because you can’t just do nothing, you
