Throughout the novel, Amir and Hassan were a great friendship and motherless, they have been together for years and mostly their emotions reflect the tradition in Afghanistan as they were having a great time from their childhood. Before the Soviets invaded in Afghanistan, the society in Kabul was a peaceful place for Amir and Hassan to spend time around in the city. Amir is the son of Baba whom both were wealthy in Afghanistan, their father and son relationship weren’t great in Amir’s childhood until in his adulthood. Since Baba still feel ashamed and anger to Amir because of Amir’s mother died from giving birth to him, this brought of how Amir is feels ashamed and guilty about him of what he’s done made the characteristics looked as a sorry
