“America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand” said Harry S Truman, the 33rd President of the United States. I believe that one quote sums up what it means to be American, Americans have no reason to be afraid, but they do have a reason to be courageous. Being an American is a privilege, and should not be taken for granted. With this in mind, my school and community are very supportive of the idea of "Americanism". My community believes we give a strong definition of Americanism. We have on multiple occasions have had American services in our auditorium on things like 9/11 and Veterans Day. Our community has never intentionally disgraced the United States,
