He went through four tours in Iraq from 1999-2009, before he was shot and died. American Sniper represents the reality of the government and what is behind all the decisions, dealing with war. It shows what our men and women in the army endure, through every tour they go through to defend our freedoms and our country. The determination the the United States has leads every American to justice even when the results are going to be what is actually wanted. Throughout this book, it was slowly depicted as to how the government has a role in the military area. According to Washington Post, American Sniper is about a retired Navy SEAL sniper, Chris Kyle, one of the most deadliest snipers in the United States military history.
