The country still has lots of insurgents, and the Seals work hard to make the Fallujah safe. Kyle spends a short time near the Euphrates River, where he provides backup for Marines. Kyle's platoon is relocated to the city of Baghdad, where they have to protect officials for the elections. Kyle thinks democracy won't work in this country. He obtains injuries during his time in Baghdad, but doesn't want to say anything because he would then be sent home. On his third tour, Kyle gets a massive amount of insurgent kills, and begins to get a reputation as a deadly sniper. Kyle begins to bond with his son. However, he and Taya continue to have problems, especially after Taya finds out that Chris wants to reenlist. Taya warns Chris that if he does, it means he is choosing the SEALS over his family. Kyle reenlists. Days before Kyle leaves for Iraq, Taya has an emergency C-section, and gives birth to their second child, a baby
