This book is a well written book that takes you through Chris Kyle's life and how he was able to push his limits by leaving his family behind to go to Iraq to fight for his country and helps people understand what each military soldier goes through when they are deployed and have to leave their families behind to go fight and protect there country. Chris Kyle was in a rodeo in Rendon, Texas, when the bronco he was set to ride flipped over pinning Chris Kyle with its enormous weight. Chris Kyle suffered a shattered wrist, dislocated shoulder, broken ribs, bruised kidney, and even a bruised lung. Chris Kyle was turned down at first after the Navy found out during a physical that the bronc busting damage to his wrist was found out , and the Navy said no. Chris Kyle did not give up so he offered to sign a waiver releasing that the Navy would not be responsible for any of the liability regarding his arm but the Navy still said no. Chris Kyle's military career appeared to be over before it even started. One day the Navy called Chris Kyle saying that they have changed their mind. Serving in the Navy was in his blood, going back generations, and Chris Kyle jumped on the chance to work his way towards at a chance of becoming a Navy SEAL. With his grit and determination, he was going to become a Navy SEAL. He joined the Navy in 1999, and he made his way into BUD/S. Chris Kyle began his training with Class 231, but he was pushed back after getting a very serious ear infection. while doing an exercise in a dive tower, Chris Kyle was practicing a buoyant ascent and he had to keep his ears equalized but with a very serious ear infection it was impossible. When Chris Kyle came up from his buoyant ascent he had blood running from his ears, eyes, and nose. With lots of blood coming from his ears, eyes the instructors took him to get immediate medical treatment.
