The American Revolution was a war that was the turning point for America, that took place between 1765 and 1783. At the start of the revolution, the citizens of these colonies were beginning to get tired of the British rules. Eventually, the American colonies fought for their independance from Great Britain because the colonists felt mistreated by the British, the tax laws were unfair, and they found the Intolerable Acts to be unjust. The colonists believed that the British were treating the colonists unfair and later on that was a result of them being unhappy.
