The American Revolution is a very significant event because it was the birth of a new country and independence from another. The American colonists fought very hard for their freedom and for the future and rights of generations of Americans to come. Many documents that guarantee rights and freedom of Americans. Because of the Declaration of Independence America is it’s own country and because of the Bill of Rights we have many wonderful freedoms that are unalienable like freedom of speech and freedom to practice whatever religion we want.
