The American Red Cross provides different programs and training classes. American Red Cross has babysitting classes for teens and adults. The babysitting class teaches you how to deal with young kids when babysitting, changing diapers, CPR, and what to expect when babysitting. AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) class is to teach people how to use a defibrillator when in a bad situation the defibrillator is used to check someones heart rate and send an electric shock through the body to get the heart rate at the right rhythm. They also have a class for BLS (Basic Life Support) which teaches adults how to perform CPR on babies, small children, and adults. They also have swimming classes for all ages for learning how to swim. In addition, The American Red Cross also teaches a lifeguard and water safety class. The lifeguard and water safety classes that teach people what to do in a situation when people need help in a pool, lake, ocean, etc. Another class offered to everyone is EMT (Emergency Medical Technicians) the class teaches people about first responding and the body to help people when needed.
