ARES

Today we represent the Olympian Ares and we ask that you see him as the best choice for a better Olympus.

What do you look for in a leader? Is it perhaps loyalty? Maybe bravery? Dedication? Fearlessness? All in all, we want someone who will protect us and stand by us in times of need. Someone who’s strong personality can help us achieve greatness. Someone whose determination and courage can make life fair for everyone. Someone, like Ares.

Ares; the Greek god of war, murder and bloodshed. However, he is also the god of spring, growth and nature. As cliche as it is, the saying “Where there is darkness, there is also light” comes to mind. Ares, whose favourite pastime is starting wars also helps the people of Olympus rebuild and regrow in times of need. Where there is death, there is also life.

Ares is one of the most famous Olympian gods. Although when people think of him they don’t remember all the good things he’s done, they remember every war, argument and battle he’s started. Honestly you have to feel kind of bad for him. Ares is the least popular amongst the gods and he is constantly being

His impulsiveness, many affairs, “cowardness” and rivalries with the other gods are actually good things in disguise. Greek mythologists believe that Ares was the most impulsive of the gods but his impulsiveness does give him an advantage in battle. Rage In The Iliad Analysis

In Homer’s The Iliad, rage is a driving force for the mortal characters, unlike the stoic, unemotional nature of the gods. Each human character seems to have his own vendetta, and will go to great lengths to get the justice he feels he deserves. The enraged state these characters reside in only heightens the conflicts they experience in the war, pushing the story along further. Achilles and Agamemnon are prime examples of this, pushing forth their agendas due to their rage-filled emotional states, and this directly juxtaposes the unemotional nature of Zeus, the highest of all Greek gods.…

Coming to God of War, the game, he is the villain. He is portrayed as an evil sadistic god who takes pleasure in going on a rampage, killing thousands of mortals and torturing other gods. He makes an agreement with Kratos to spare his life in exchange for his soul. Another change to be noted is that although the basic role of Greek gods and mortals remains the same, their actions are in some way modified to make the game more interesting and playable. For example, Furies, which were born from the severed genitals of Uranus (Ouranos), are instead born from the fights of primordials with others.…
