Matt,

I am glad to answer your question. When it comes to using other carriers, I don’t want you to get the impression that we just hire random companies to move freight for us. The carries we use, work for us. The only thing they are missing is the “ATS” symbol on the side of their truck. All regulations and insurance is under our name and they are in direct correlation with us at ATS. We keep all dispatching for trucks in house and make sure that their safety record and documents are up to par every day before any loads are given to them.

We do it this way to make sure that we have capabilities to work with companies as large as Winco. This is to insure that we always have trucks moving your product on time and to keep the price tag low

The trucking industry has gone through, and continues to go through, some of the most difficult times since the Motor Carrier Regulatory Reform and Modernization Act of 1980. There are five key events that are occurring simultaneously: skyrocketing fuel prices, major reductions in economic activity, massively changing supply chains, falling US dollar, significant pockets of debt secured by trucking assets. The rapid increases in the price for fuel can have been causing a delayed and devastating effect on freight management companies. With the sudden fall of fuel cost, it could result in short-term boosts in profit and a surge of competition within the market to provide consumers with the lowest price.…
