Family is important to American Identity and keeps people tightly bound together. My family helps me by sacrificing and dedicating time, helping me become a better person. My family can also affect my feelings and mood. Like in this quote from “Rules of the Game”. “Each morning before school, [Waverly’s] mother would twist and yank on [Waverly’s] thick black hair until she had formed two tightly wound pigtails”. To me, culture is where a person is brought up, where they live now, and even the people around them. Culture is all around you no matter where you are. Eventually, no matter if you like it or not, you will adapt to the culture that surrounds you.
