American government exists for a number of reasons. Discuss in detail the functions of American government. What function do you believe is most important? Why?
While the American government has many functions, the main ones are establishing justice, ensuring domestic tranquility, providing for the common defense, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty (O’Connor & Sabato, 2017).
Though each function is important, I believe ensuring domestic tranquility is most important because it provides many levels of protection so whether we are at home or work or wherever else we may go, we can rest assured knowing the police are guarding us locally, national guards secure
