The legend, Peyton Manning There are many key components to a good football team. The quarterback position would have to be one of the most important. The quarterback is seen as the leader of the team, and could be the determining factor to a successful football team. There have been many great quarterbacks such as: Tom Brady, Joe Montana, John Elway, Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, etc. There is no doubt that Peyton Manning is among the list of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Peyton Manning was born in 1976, New Orleans, Louisiana. Peyton was born into a family of football. His dad Archie Manning was a very successful quarterback, and his brother Eli Manning would grow up to be the starting quarterback for the New York Giants. Not only guiding the Broncos to the AFC West title, Peyton was also named the AP comeback player of the year. (Biography) That wasn’t the end as the next season was even better. His next season in 2013 Peyton started with an amazing season opener throwing 7 touchdowns tying a league record. Peyton continued to play at such a high level throughout the season winning his 5th MVP. That year Peyton and the Colts made it to the super bowl, but lost to the Seattle Seahawks. (Biography) Throughout Peyton’s career he has mastered the quarterback position studying game tape, practicing hard and being smart on the field. Peyton has lived up to the name and has made an impact on football. When people think of the Colts, even though Peyton doesn’t play for them, people think of Peyton Manning and how he brought the team to life. Manning has now broken the record for leading touchdown passes. Although with some injuries slowing him down he seems to be capable of a few more seasons to his legendary football
