The history of how America formed can be a hard story to hear. When the Europeans moved in and took the land away from people who already called it their home, the also brought plagues over to the new world. As well as enslaving natives and African Americans where they were treated like animals and property. However, this all led to the creation of the free world and created friendships with other countries. So through all the hardships there were some positives in the long run however more negative effects of European’s exploration of the New World. When explorers came to the New World they weren’t the first one there. The land already belonged to the Native Americans but that didn’t stop the explorers. When explorers came to the new world looking for new land, they brought diseases with them. The diseases like smallpox, influenza and measles were brought to the new world by people who lived, in close proximity to animals on the ships. Where people would have been eating, drinking, and breathing in germs from the animals abroad. With all the new land to harvest and plantations they needed workers. Europeans wanted to get the most profit from the land which meant paying almost nothing for workers so they started to enslave people. They would bring African Americans by ship to the new world to work the plantations; however they were not treated like worker they were treated like animals. They would be crammed on to ships with sickness among them, which kill many of them where they would feel like they were suffocating. In conclusion, there were both negative and positive effects of European’s exploration of the New World however more negative effects. From taking land away from people were already living there, to the plagues which killed many natives. Also, African Americans being enslaved and treated like animals. Then it did lead to the creation of the free world and created friendships with other countries. So even though it can be a hard story to hear and it had it had its negative effects it also has its positive effects of creating a free
