As I reflect back to the learning that I’ve gained thus far in English 5A I realized how broad English truly is, there is way more than I imagined to learn. As I started the semester, my first essay wasn’t the best, as I continued in English 5A I learned different ways on how to approach an academic essay with a better outcome. I acquired that a well written essay is structured properly by identifying the conversation about a topic. As I continued into the semester I was expected to use different ways and strategies to build an academic essay, that had a different approach about various topics. In essay two about American Education, I applied reading and writing strategies to identify the conversation and in essay three globalization, was about entering the conversation and adding my own ideas. In English 5A I’ve gained knowledge on how to properly write and inform the reader about the main purpose in an academic essay.
Approaching an academic essay is about identifying the conversation within a topic. As I was introduced in English 5A to the concept of “they say, I say” it’s the best way to approach the essays American Education and Globalization.
