As a preschool teacher we strong believe in teaching and modeling to student’s conflict resolution at a young age. Also, we educate parents on the benefits of teaching their children conflict resolution. As an educator I aim for students to learn how to deal with conflict rather than avoiding it. How do Maz Jobrani's comedic insights strike you as an educator?
As an educator, Maz Jobrani’s comedic insight strikes me as comical. He used his humor to shed light on serious issues. This is a brilliant manner to address cultural stereotypes that many times don’t get addressed. Also, I enjoyed the manner in which he used humor in just about any circumstance. This permitted him to bring awareness to important matters that should not be overlooked. However, I do not know if younger students would react the same way as I did. I think it would be exciting and enlightening to observe the manner students would respond to this type of comedic insight in a classroom.
