The American dream by definition is “the ideal that every U.S. citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative.” The idea of the American dream is one of the main reasons why most of our country is over flowing with immigrants and why people risk their lives just to come to the United States; whether its in life rafts, boats or even jumping boarders, anything possible to be able to have an opportunity to achieve what they believe is the American dream. For some to achieve the American dream it means to accomplish life-long goals, live a comfortable life style and maybe even leave behind money or accomplishments to their upcoming generation; to want more for their families
