Unlike many countries, the United States have freedoms other countries do not have. Freedom comes with repsonsibilites. The duties of an American citizen include serving on jury duty when called upon. Although it is not mandatory to vote when elections come around, it is a privilege and responsibility to vote. For the longest time only men were able to vote. Now anybody of any race or gender can vote who is over the age of eightteen. Another duty is to not back stab the United States, by becoming a spy for another country or a terroist in our own country.
