Ever since slavery, Africans have never been treated the same as other American citizens. For example, when African Americans were not able to vote, attend school, or even ride public transportation, they took a stand. This did result in change, but the change was as minimum as possible. There were amendments passed and changes made by the Supreme Courts, but whites always found a way to come out on top. When the Supreme Court finally ruled in favor of
African Americans, this meant they were able to attend school, have jobs, vote, and other unalienable rights that were not given to them previously. Whites, however, were definitely not having it. African Americans were given rights, but they started splitting everything. For example, there were certain schools for African American children, and these schools were in far worse conditions than the schools whites attended. Public parks had special sides black children could play on, and there were even special public bathrooms for the black people. On public transportation, black people were forced to sit in the back so that white people were able to
