In my opinion, The United States of America is quite similar to the great societies of the past in some ways. Religion-wise, Britain, Ancient Rome and America all share Christianity as the most followed religion, which therefore comes to show that America has some things in common with some of the old societies. However, Aztecs followed the belief that human sacrifices should be made in order to please their Gods, which is completely different from the current beliefs of Americans and supports the statement that America is different from the past societies.
