“The Nile crashed in the Amazon while being piloted by Mississippi” (Jarod Kintz). Geographic features were crucial for the development of modern day Egypt. Features such as the Nile and the desert provided protection, allowing Egypt to expand. Similar to this, geographic features also influenced America’s development and why America is how it is today. America would not be the same if it was not for the location and the primary resources that we were given. The primary resources gave America wealth which allowed us to expand. Where ancient egypt used the nile as a resource for food and protection. Both America and Ancient Egypt used geographic features to their advantage to expand and create their modern day societies.

American people used natural resources to trade and make money. Since our country had tons and tons of natural resources we were able to trade with people who did not have them, this gave us money. Many people wanted natural resources because they were an efficient way of having heat and energy and are used to meet “people’s needs”. The demand was high and America could fulfil the demand for raw materials such as oil, natural gas, and coal. America not only became rich through their “abundance natural resources”, but were able to expand because they had everything they needed to survive. Natural resources “helped fuel the U.S growth during the Industrial Revolution”. The Industrial Revolution was the time period where people changed their habits of work and started to use machines. Since we had natural resources to fuel the machines we were able to get work done much more efficient. This allowed the Americans to focus on developing their society instead of surviving. Natural resources provided Americans with supplies for survival and trade to make good money. Both of these components combined together helped America become one of the “most developed” countries in the
