America, The Land of Dreams America is a country of dreams; it is a land of freedom for those who are deprived of their liberty, and the land of the future for those who have no future. I left my homeland in search of safety and escape sectarian persecution. Many refugees come to America in order to be safe, have a better future, and have the right of freedom. A large number of Arab refugees are shocked when they arrive to the country of Uncle Sam, due to many opportunities, that can make you successful in your life. On other hand, there are some negativistic in U.S., which is there are some people who are ignorant about other countries who are suffering. I have always dreamt of coming to the United States in order to have a better future and to be in a safe place. Actually, my family and I moved to the United States in 2010, leaving the war behind us, and looking for safety. We have suffered a lot in my homeland, Iraq. My brothers and I have left school in order to avoid kidnapping and explosions that happened in Iraq. Life in Iraq is more like hell. I was really astonished when I found out that the diploma in the U.S. is the key to success in life, and you can have a successful career with a diploma in hand. In fact, the diploma in Iraq doesn’t have any importance, because the Iraqi people don’t give it the consideration or attention that education deserves. When educated graduates such as doctors, engineers and lawyers get a chance to come to the United States, dreaming that they may continue their job, they unfortunately find out that they can’t because they have to restudy and get a diploma from one of the United States universities.
