Sunday, the Cleveland Indians won 1-0 against the Tampa Bay Rays. It was Roberto Perez who slid securely into the home base as their opponent’s catcher Curt Casali dropped the ball in the 9th inning of the June 21 game.
Everyone thought that Indians were already beaten, but when Perez stoop up from his slid, he noticed that the baseball was out of Casali’s hands.
Finally, the Indians capture their first walk-off victory of this season. At last, the team got through with the bases filled.
David Murphy did a sacrifice fly to break a scoreless tie in the bottom of the 9th inning. They took a 1-0 victory.
The breakthrough happened after Cody Anderson already departed. It wouldn’t occur without the amazing debut by the right-hander. Anderson was able to toss 7 2/3 scoreless innings. He had restricted Tampa Bay

It was when Michael Bourn arrived on an infield hit. In the 9th inning, Perez singled to left past Asdrubal Cabrera. He went to 3rd when Jason Kipnis hit a single to the right. He has more or less 1 hit in 25 successive games held at Progressive Field, such a rough record.
Indians’ Francisco Lindor flied out to the left. It was planned by the Tampa Ray to let Michael Brantley to fill the bases. Murphy skied a pitch to the center. Heaved toward home was Kevin KIermaiers, who was a target. Unfortunately, the baseball squirted away and Perez scored.
Luckily for Cleveland Indians, they prevented a sweep and enhanced their home record to 14-21. They are proud for their record this month to 8-10. The team has achieved 47 runs in their 18 games in June.
They positioned a pair of runners on board in the 6th, but they were unsuccessful to break the scoreless log jam. After Bourn made a single, he advanced to 2nd on an untamed pitch.
