A Bad Encounter
At this point in my life I had just turned 19 and was working at Tractor Supply. It was Friday and my night off when I received a phone call from work. It was Emily, the cashier that was working that night. She said that something had been delivered with my name on it and I needed to pick it up. She wouldn’t tell me what it was. So I good-bye to all of my friends and went into work
When I walked through the door, on the counter was a bouquet roses. They were bright yellow and hot pink roses and the edges of the petals were lined with silver glitter. I didn’t have a boyfriend at this time so this was much unexpected.
There in the middle of the roses was a cherry red, sparkly envelope with my name written on it in big letters.

Your truly take my breathe away every time I even catch a glimpse of you. I have all these feeling for you and I can’t hold them in any longer. I can’t wait to see you Monday. Love John"
I didn’t know a John. My stomach fell to the floor and I started panic. I could feel everyone’s eye on me waiting for a reaction. I started laughing; telling everyone it had to be from one of my friends. Everyone agreed, saying the letter was written too neat to be coming from a man.
When night before I tossed and turned dreading going into work. I hadn’t slept but thirty minutes the whole night. I must have picked up the phone a dozen times trying to call in sick. But I got up and drove to work anyway. Emily was waiting for me to unlock the door.
Everything went like normal. When I turned on the open sign there were three or four trucks in the parking lot, which was normal for us. I unlocked the door and went to turn off the alarm to the outside lot. The alarm box was just around the corner for the door. I disabled it and when I turned around my eye met a black pair of shoes. I didn’t have to give much thought to which these shoes belonged

In his hand was another bundle of red roses.
I could feel my mouth hanging open in shock. My breathing got faster as I tried to make myself look at his face. His face was smooth. He had black hair and his eyes were blue. He was an older man, maybe in his late 40 's. I had never seen this man before and I began to panic.
I thought I was going to faint when he started to talk. I had opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. I looked away from him not knowing what to do. He took a step closer to me, so I took a step back. Seeing this, his face turned red, and I began to worry more. I didn’t know what he was capable of, he was twice my size.
I looked away from him to try to get Emily’s attention, so she could get him. When I looked back to him and his face was blood red. He looked both angry and confused. He took another step toward me and I took another step back. I hit the wall this time, the back of my head hitting the alarm box. I left my hand, making it look like I was rubbing the back of my head. I was pressing every button I could.
He started to yell at me. He said "Why are you looking at me like
