Dream Of The American Dream

The American Dream is often defined as the ideals of freedom, equality, and opportunity traditionally held to be available to every American; its is also defined as a life of personal happiness and material comfort as traditionally sought by the individual citizens of the U.S. (Dictionary.com) This so-called dream has been around since before the founding of the country; its main purpose in the beginning was to allow people to flee from European countries that supported religious freedom. Now the vision of the American dream has shifted not just once, but billions of times every individual has his or her own personal dream now and more often then not, no two dreams are the same.

Most people strive to be rich; it is thought that the more money you have the better off you are, and this is extremely true if it is admitted or not it is something everyone wants. Social status now is really based on money and the thought of the more money you have the better you are; it has always been that way but now it is more obvious. Although wealth is something everyone whishes they had it doesn’t necessarily mean people aren’t just fine without it. Some Americans have very little and are just fine; although success is a major subject when it comes to talking about the American dream and although in life we want to strive for excellence and succeed in everything we do, sometimes al you need is family and love; it can go along
