Amelia Earhart Sexism

Imagine a world where Amelia Earhart hadn't become the symbol she did? Would we have still have a lot of sexism between sexes? Would women still be considered unequal compared with men? Amelia Earhart was a young women that loved to fly airplanes. She became famous because of her flying. Amelia Earhart qualifies as a hero because she was standing up against sexism, becoming a symbol of strength for women, and determining that she would prove even more.

She crossed the Atlantic ocean alone, and being the first to do it was powerful for women. She was also the first woman to fly from Hawaii to the California coast by herself (www.history.com). This also proved women's strength because this means Amelia was the first to solo two oceans. Amelia inspired women to try and do more than men ever could (www.ameliaearhart.com). Inspiring and strong, Amelia Earhart became a symbol of perseverance and strength for women.
The reason that she was able to complete her heroic actions were because she was determined to show the world she could do even more.
