“Adventure is worthwhile in itself.” Amelia Mary Earhart was the inspiration to women all around the world, she defeated the disbelief and the people who didn’t believe she could do anything as well as any man. Amelia was born on July 24th, 1897 and she was born brave. Amelia’s early life was very happy. Her family moved a lot, she went to a total of 6 high schools by the time she graduated. But not all was bad when she graduated she discovered that she had a taste for traveling to new places because she moved around so much and she loved meeting new people. Life was not easy after that either, her parents split up, got back together and then split up for good. After highschool Amelia went to a college near Philadelphia, Thiel University! There were many bright spots as well, in World War 1 there was much need for combat planes and the governments were developing more planes and their was a need for new pilots. She got the urge to fly but instead of pursuing that just yet when the war ended she went back to the United States and enrolled into medical school and did the peculiar things people had to do to become a doctor. One Christmas in 1917 she came home and saw four veterans from the nearly ended World War 1 walking down the street struggling. That inspired her to give back so she moved to Toronto and worked as a nurses aid.
