Imagine dinner with Amelia Earhart cruising along at 550 mph at 35,000 feet. Oh, the conversations we would have. It would not be around the stereotypical question of "what happened during your 1937 expedition?" but to discuss her position as an irrefutable role model to women worldwide. As a child, full of relentless adventure and imagination, I learned about this history-altering woman who rose above and beyond traditional “women’s roles” to fulfill her dreams. Our conversation would begin by discussing how her childhood experiences influenced the woman she became. We would discuss the difficulties and obstacles of women in aviation, a male-only field during her time in the 1920's and 1930's and how she overcame them, as well as advancements
