Amelia Earhart Research Paper

Amelia Earhart is a well-known pilot mainly known for being the first woman to copilot and solo fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Earhart flew all over the world trying to accomplish things that women and some men haven’t been able to do. Around the mid 1930 Amelia tried to do the impossible and disappeared while trying to accomplish it. (“Lorenzi”) Humans are fascinated by things they cannot explain because we can’t stand there is no end. Although she lived and exciting adventurous life, the end is a mystery that is yet to be solved. Unfortunately Amelia’s end has not been put to rest, in fact people keep finding more evidence to add to their theories. One of the main theories that is that Amelia and her navigator ran out of fuel. Part of this theory is that they landed near their destination of Howland Island. One specific break through happened not that long ago when a piece of aluminum fragment, which is thought to be a part of Earhart’s plane, was found. This break through had to do with the fact that maybe they didn’t crash into the Pacific Ocean at all. “A fragment of Amelia Earhart’s lost aircraft has been identified.” (“ Aluminum Fragment appears to belong to Earhart’s plane”) Although this theory still says that she most likely ran out of fuel it has to differ from whether she landed near the island on another little island or she landed in the ocean. There is no way of telling what is true or what is not. “ A fragment of Amelia Earhart’s lost aircraft has been identified to a high degree of certainty for the first time ever since her plane vanished over the Pacific Ocean on July 2, 1937.”(“Lorenzi”) There are theories that have specific evidence to whether or not these things are true.
