Ambush Style Shooting Summary

This article, by the Washington Post, gives updated information about a pair of ambush style shootings. Sgt. Anthony Beminio and Officer Justin Martin were shot and killed early Wednesday morning. The two officers were sitting in their squad cars when they were killed. Shortly after the shootings, Des Moines Police Department officials identified Scott Michael Greene as their primary suspect. On at least two occasions, one of which occurred a few weeks before the shootings, Greene was involved in tense, racially-infused confrontations with police. Greene was apprehended when he flagged down a person working on their tractor and asked them to call 911.
