It is a German military ship that was torpedoed and sunk on the 30th of January by a soviet submarine while it evacuated German civilians, natzi officials and military personal. They theory is that the amber room was put on this ship to be transported to some where. People said that they saw wooden crated about the size of the walls being loaded onto the ship.
The second theory is a Natzi underground bunker. Its is suggested that the room was hidden in a bunker in east Germany where the room was to be displayed. This bun kept is in a network on underground tunnels in the ore mountains of east Germany. This theory makes sense as the palace that the room was to be displayed in was looted before the end of the war and the bunker being near by was the perfect place to hide the walls.
The third theory is that the room was bombed intone palace of koningsburg. The castle of koningsburg was where the gold room was rumoured to have been shipped to. The castle was bombed by the the Royal Air Force and the Soviet Union. And was later burned. We believe this as there is much more convincing and proper evidence surrounding this theory. The first bit of evidence id that many people saw the same crates it was packed in being loaded on to the ship, another bit of evidence is that due to its location and the health and Safety risk no one is allowed to dive to the ship which means that it can be checked that It is there., another piece of evidence id that the ship was carrying the German people who were supposively in possession of the room at the time. We also have a first hand account explaining what happened the night before the boat left the dock by some one who was working on the boat at the time he states that “on the night of the embarkation of the Gustloff a convoy of heavily laden lorries turned up at the quayside as the boat was set to sail and witnessed a group of soldiers carrying small but heavy cases up the gangway” this shows that some thing importaint was being shipped on the boat. The survivor Survivor Heinz Schoen, also published loads of books on the disaster and he claimed that he saw Nazis quickly loading crates onto the ship which means that the didn't want the crates to be taken which meant that they are
