These are probably the heart-breaking images one would see going into the Amazon Rainforest today. The Amazon Rainforest is home to 40,000 plant species, 427 species of mammals, 1,300 species of birds, 378 species of reptiles, 400 or more species of amphibians, and close to 3000 species of fish. Species will begin to die off and start coming into cities and harm people. Back in the 70’s the Brazilian government thought it would be good idea to put civilizations in the forest. They built 9000’s miles of roadway and countless trees were destroyed. The government then realized they had made a mistake when lots of farmers had easy access to the forest and started clearing more land for there on use. Now South America has penalties for unauthorized people cutting down the trees in the rainforest. Trees rely on us just as much as we rely of them. If there were no animals on earth then the trees would die because the need them to recycle the carbon dioxide. The Amazon continues to shrink, though the rate of deforestation has been slowed down. Scientist believe that this is a major part in climate change. The trees soak up the carbon dioxide that would otherwise freely roam the atmosphere and contribute to ongoing climate change. Humans are not the only thing to take the blame for the deforestation

Tropical Rainforest Damage Tropical rainforests are home to over half the world 's species such as butterflies, spiders, worms, snakes, frogs, parrots, sloths, and jaguars. There’s three levels of the rainforest; the forest floor where plants don’t grow because there is almost no sunlight. Understory layer where little sunshine reaches this area so the plants need to have big leaves to capture sunlight. Canopy layer where most of the trees have oval leaves that are pointy. Then the tallest trees are the emergents, which are over 200 feet above the forest floor.…

People fail to consider how their actions affect not only plants and animals in their ecosystem, but future generations as well. Throughout the years we have harmed and destroyed forest ecosystems and everything that lives in them, so it is only fair that we do everything we can to help limit the amount of damage we deal to our forests and wildlife.
