Amazon started out in 1995 under the newly formed entrepreneur, Jeffery Bezos. An online retail store that was originally for selling books, but the markets has expanded into selling items like clothing and their own tablets. Their main goal is to be the leading curve for technological advances. Especially since their CEO Bezos majored in Computer Science. Their companies ultimate success has been dependent on a few things their CEO, their international Market, and their SWOT analysis. Jeffrey Bezos has gone through many different job before he started up Amazon in 1995. For example, having the Kindles drive their E-book sales. Not only that, but it has helped influence customers to go towards their Prime service because of the thousands of free e-books offered with it. Although their strength is a great advantage, their weakness is bringing them down greatly. For example, their biggest issue right now is the patent infringements. This is affecting the confidence their stakeholders, their driving force, is having in the company. In addition to that, they often have ‘technical difficulties’ with their web hosting and cloud services. The way they can fix that issue is to look at their second driving force, expanding their cloud service. If they look into their companies issue with cloud services and then expand it, their opportunity to compete with other companies would sky rocket and change the game from just price point to user experience. However, their opportunities may be hindered by their threats. Such as the extreme competition, Amazon faces with E-books and Barnes and Noble. If they continue onto their path, they should do all
