I loved the context of the story and how the director decided to send a young beautiful women in the life of William Wilberforce, and encourage the passion that they both shared for the love of abolishing slavery. Barbara Spooner, the woman who shares his passion, invites an exciting new characteristic to him as he recounts his history to her, taking the viewers to scenes untraveled such as backstories, remembering the people who dedicated their time to the cause, and acts that were committed. While uncontrollable flashbacks occur, he soon finds in Spooner, that a passion so deep for the same aspects happening in the 18th century, will inspire him to rejuvenate his goal in abolishing slavery. Amazing Grace was well put together, and centered on really strong characters such as Mr. Wilberforce and Ms. Spooner. The movie was emotional and inspiring, yes of course there were parts that weren’t really exhilarating or exciting but quite saddening and horrific, however the really great inspiring moment in the movie made me forget about all of the not so great scenes, that being when the main character (Wilberforce) meets the beautiful Spooner. “Wilberforce and his friends had a compassion for the oppressed and poor that was turned into action over a broad range of issues, although the abolition of slavery was always first and foremost. Yet, much of the money given was done so anonymously as Wilberforce sought no credit” (Wilberforce
