Improved Essays
Hello, I am Amanda Kaczmarski. I am 31, live in NH, and I am a preschool teacher. I have been teaching for 12 years. I love my job. It's a very fulfilling job but there is a huge lack of money in it. I am living with a friend and live pay check to check. That is the reason why I am not getting my degree in Education but instead I am getting it in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations.

I have helped organize charity events, parties, and other events that needs organization of people. I love it! I want to do more of this sort of thing. I love sci fi, comic cons, renn faires, Star Wars, arts and crafts, cos play and anything on the topic of being creative. I would love a job that I can be creative at. Another reason why

When it comes to privacy and my current job I have to keep that in mind. I have a facebook that is for my family, the parents at school, co workers, and friends. I have another facbook account and twittter account that I use ONLY for my advocacy profile. I am an adovcate for Positive Body Image as well as Sex Positivty. I keep that private from my co-workers, family, and the families at the school I work at. My advocacy doesn't take away from the hard work that I put into my job. I do not need to give work a reason to fire me or question my skills as a teacher.

I see the teachers who put out the sexy pictures of themselves and the families freak out, saying it's "porn." I personally say, so what if it is porn. Is she talking about porn at work with the kids? NO. Is she talking about her extra ciriculiars at work? NO. Does this take away from her ability to teach? NO. She has a seperate life from her work life, just like EVERYONE does! This is just a part of her, and this small part of her doesn't effect her job. This is why I feel for me, privacy is a neccessaty. I don't want to be questioned and have people tell me that my extras effect my daily job. I know they do not. So i keep them seperate. I just hope that I do a good job at

After visiting the classroom a handful of times, I absolutely fell in love.…

While some people may think of event management as a degree in party planning, it is gaining credibility as a legitimate career. The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council created event management standards which also led to the definition of exactly what an event is (Robertson, 2015). An event is “a social form that organizes interaction in a distinctive way” or the “gathering of three or more people who agree to assemble for a purpose ostensibly related to the functioning of an organization or group” (Beaulie, 2004). According to Michael Auerbach, “in 2006 there were 51,000 event planners in the U.S. and 39% of those were within an event planning company” which demonstrates the grand size of the industry and its obvious importance to society (2015). The purpose of this paper is to explore a career in event planning.…
