Many scientists are in agreement with the theory that alzheimers disease starts to kick in because the body starts to over produce a certain protein commonly known as beta-amyloid protein. It is also thought that another effect of alzheimers disease is that particular types of genes are more prone to get alzheimers disease. That means if someone has suffered from the disease, then the odds of their offspring developing that disease will be much higher.
There are a number of other reasons that may start the onset of alzheimers disease. Things like hypertension, diabetes, higher levels of cholesterol, and heart disease, and constant stress, can all contribute towards alzheimers.On the other hand there are people who have suffered from the conditions above and gone on to live lives completely free of the disease.
