This paper will delve upon various issues that are involved within Alzheimer’s disease. Causes, effects/symptoms, treatments, and prevention are the few things that will be covered about this topic. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive disease that slowly deteriorates the brain, leading to memory loss. It is said that it comes with age, affecting you with the older you get. Although that is not always the case, it affects most people over the age of 65. A common cause of dementia, it affects a person’s brain tissue (Adams, J. 2011). A disease that affects millions of people around the world, there is a lot of research that is being done to fully understand the context of it. To fully understand the causes of Alzheimer’s disease, an autopsy must be performed to have a complete diagnosis, although, there have been various methods created to allow a great diagnosis in live patients (Adams, J. 2011). There is no cure for this disease, but there are a multitude of treatments that can help with the symptoms. Even though there is still research to be done about this brutal disease, enough knowledge has been gained from different procedures to give us a good understanding of AD (Alzheimer’s). There are many factors that have been found that are known causes of AD.
