Positive engagement is critical for Black students to have positive experiences on campus. This includes participating in culturally relevant activities, and feeling a sense of validation of their cultural needs. In order to feel part of the campus, it is necessary for administrators to incorporate cultural activities campus wide, in addition to activities created by the students themselves. Majority students should also be encouraged to participate in diverse activities. As mentioned earlier, majority students benefit from participating in diverse programming because they are more accepting of diverse groups through cross-cultural interaction.
