Throughout the novella, the character expresses a sense of devotion towards his goal, to discover what has been unknown to his perspective. The persona of Odysseus has kept his soul from pursuing the necessities to change and grow on the what is keeping him from reaching his zenith of potential. The sense of altruism, which can be accessed in one’s soul, is rather important to the persona of the hero, where they must express themselves to progress along their journey. Heroes must express a sense of bravery in times of opposing fear to gain opportunities to get a chance to experience the perceptions to change. Through the journey of the main protagonists of Anthem and The Odyssey, Prometheus and Odysseus, the altruism gained in their path caused the enrichment of their interpretation for unity to develop throughout. The journey of life contained an abundance of hindrances however these hindrances opened a window to develop the essential traits of bravery, and this bravery gain through, caused for the persona of a hero to enrich towards the zenith of their potential. The sense of bravery in a hero’s morals, as expressed in the trials of Prometheus and Odysseus caused for them to realize the strength that can be gained, and how that strength can enrich their journey. A sense of devotion towards others, regardless of one’s self, opens the mindset because the selflessness derived from this behavior can cause for a hero’s aspirations to be solidified. The hero archetype in Odysseus expresses a sense of relinquishing the negativity surrounding them as a sense of aiding others more than themselves, in turn helping the hero as well as he is striving in his journey. The martyr archetype in Prometheus, however, shows a sense of unity to discovering the truth rather than concerning about their ego by itself.
