Ride Along During and after my experience, I realized how similar and accurate the material learned in class was to what police officer experience in a typical day. That, in turn, helps me grows as a person. There is little else that gives me more joy than leading discussions, presenting, and debating just about anything: our foreign policy and politics, the environment, the true nature of man, and even the (immense) value of the domesticated chicken. Furthermore, as a foster child, I have moved around a lot and have seen innumerable faces; as a result, unfamiliar and strange groups have been a part of my life for so long that I am comfortable with them. I would like to attend the United States Navy Summer Seminar because I have been aspiring to look into the Navy. With both of my parents retired Navy veterans, my want to serve this country started when I was young. Even from a young age, I could see the amount of respect they gained and I now can only hope to receive the same in my lifetime. In addition, I plan to participate in some of the office of student volunteerism projects such as: (ASB) Alternate Spring Break where you take a one week excursion to go address a community service initiative of your choosing or the Comet Cupboard that serves as a food and resource pantry for students in need on campus. Growing up in our time, in a middle class privileged family and attending a good school makes myself take for granted what some people truly go though.
