Alternate Ending to “The landlady” “This floor is your, you have it all to yourself,” said the landlady. “Thank you,” said the young man “What is on the next floor?” “Oh that, well that is just where I do my hobbie,” said the landlady. “What would that be?” the young man questioned “Oh, I would want to bore you with the details,” the landlady told him, “I will let you settle in if you need anything please do let me know, I will be in the kitchen making some tea.” “Okay,” the young man said. As the old landlady walked down the stair he watched her, waiting for her to leave the room. As soon as he was sure she was gone he quietly went up into the next floor. Sure it was not for him to see but why was she so secretive about her hobby. Up the stairs and through the next door he noticed a man. He was just standing there, he almost looked… fake. “One moment,” Billy replied. I wasn't supposed to be in her hobby room, but he was. He ran down the stairs as fast and quiet as he could. Did she hear him? Or was he quiet enough? He opened the door once he made it down the stairs. “How may I help you,” Billy questioned
“I just wanted to let you know I made some tea and it was in the great room if you would like any,” the dotty old gal told Billy
“I think I’ll pass on the tea but thank you very much anyway,” Billy politely told
