Alternate Ending To Frankenstein

I was close to completing my second atrocity. As I worked, I thought to myself, “Why? What possessed me to bring such a hideous demon into this world, and then turn my back on it long enough for it to become corrupt by us humans and our sinister predisposition?” It was starting to get quite cold here in Geneva. My spirits were lifted, however, when I heard the news a few days ago that Elizabeth had pooled together enough money to visit me here in this atrocious place. This horrible place that had consumed me, my sanity, my mind, and maybe even my fate. My morbid thoughts continued, and the hot, sticky sweat dripping from my head became subconscious to me. Right now there was only one thing that mattered.
“Come on, Victor. The digestive system is almost done.” I was willing myself on. I would accept any form of courage, even if it was from myself. I worked feverishly throughout the night, and minutes felt like hours. Cold, crisp air blew through the creaky window pane. I was an ice cube, constantly shivering as I worked.
